[MSGP] Regional Qualifiers - Kyushu Region

Three down, two more to go!

Lets run down the three teams from the west side of Japan!

The Dungeons

These are the dungeons for this Qualifier:
Time Attack: Fire Stone Statue (top 16 times advances)
Round of 16: Water Monster of Destruction
Quarterfinals: Wood Song Bird
Semifinals: Clown Prince of Pumpkins (Jack-o'-lantern)
3rd Place: Fire Stone Statue
Finals (Best 2 of 3):
#1 - Fire Stone Statue
#2 - Water Monster of Destruction
#3 - A Ritual of Revenge (Princess Takiyasha)

Team #3 - 60ME-C

Roster (Left to Right)
かわうそ (Rank 310)
☆地切りとハイド☆ (Rank 212)
対戦しましょう (Rank 133)
RAM (Rank 185)

Match History
Time Attack: 2:19:96 (5th)
Round of 16: 3:05:49
Quarterfinals: 3:01:79 [Vod]
- Avalon (Asc) / Alice (Asc) / Asuka & Eva-02 (Asc) / Ibaraki Doji (Asc)
Semifinals: Lost [Vod]
- Uesugi Kenshin (Asc) / Lucy (Asc) / Susanoo (Div) / Alice (Asc)
3rd Place: 2:45:14 [Vod]
- Lin Zi (Asc) / Margarite (Evo) / Taira no Kiyomori (Evo) / Nanami (Asc)

A very solid team. The only miss they actually made was the monster selection for the semis. Alice does bring a lot of firepower with her bump combo but there are homing absorbers in the stage to mitigate that damage.

Other than that, this team is very strong. Their 3rd Place match was basically a perfect run without any missed shots until the last part of the dungeon.

Team #2 - ヴィジョンファクトリー

Roster (Left to Right)
yuki (Rank 210)
ryuj♪ (Rank 211)
ジロリンチョ (Rank 189)
出た→ (Rank 201)

Match History
Time Attack: 2:21:56 (6th)
Round of 16: 3:08:78
Quarterfinals: 3:14:73 [Vod]
- Avalon (Asc) / Asuka & Eva-02 (Asc) / Prometheus (Evo) / Alice (Asc)
Semifinals: 4:47:43 [Vod]
- Uesugi Kenshin (Asc) / Arthur (Asc) / Lucy (Asc) / Susanoo (Div)
Finals: [Vod]
#1: 2:54:45
- Royce (Evo) / Lin Zi (Asc) / Amakusa Shiro (Asc) / Beethoven alpha (Evo)
#2: Lost
- Mustang (Asc) / Hunter King (Div) / Tini (Asc) / Ibaraki Doji (Asc)
#3: Lost
- Mundus (Div) / Lucy (Asc) / Abe no Seimei (Asc) / Arthur (Asc)

This is another strong team but pressure did get to them during the finals. They had a ton of missed shots nearing the 2nd and 3rd matches in the finals. They missed a crucial HK SS that could have end it and didn't go for the weak spot with Seimei during the last bar of Takiyasha (would have hit Arthur's bump too).

Team #1 - ヒッパレ・パレ!!

Roster (Left to Right)
セリナ信者 (Rank 172)
yoshi@師匠はMeg (Rank 209)
開国すくらっち (Rank 196)
エミリオマルチネス (Rank 180)

Match History
Time Attack: 2:26:89 (8th)
Round of 16: 3:24:61
Quarterfinals: 2:56:77 [Vod]
- Asuka & Eva-02 (Asc) / Smopol (Asc) / Micha (Asc) / Alice (Asc)
Semifinals: Won due to opponent's defeat [Vod]
- Lucy (Asc) / Susanoo (Div) / Arthur (Asc) / Godstriker (Div)
Finals: [Vod]
#1: Lost
- Lin Zi (Asc) / Royce (Evo) / Jeanne d'Arc (Asc) / Yamato Takeru (Evo)
#2: 3:25:25
- Mustang (Asc) / Belphegor (Asc) / Tini (Asc) / Hunter King (Div)
#3: 3:48:63
- Zorro (Asc) / Arthur (Asc) / Uri (Evo) / Uri (Asc)

This is one of those average teams that got a little bit lucky in their run to first place. Quarters and semi were solid runs with good team comps. They lost in the first match of the finals due to their opponent's Knockout ableberry. Then they won it back by some mistakes during the 2nd and 3rd matches. Generally I didn't like Asc Uri in a Time Attack scenario because of the variance in her speed up bump combo.

The Summary

This region produced three very good teams. All of them are mechanically sound and their mistakes can be fixed during the lull between the playoffs since they are very minor.

It will be very hard to predict who will make it farther down the bracket and who will not.
