[Top 5 Wednesdays] Monster Strike Siblings!

Welcome to another Top 5 Wednesday!

This week we are going deep into Monster Strike Lore and give you my Top 5 Monster Strike Siblings! They can be siblings from history but it will be mainly be siblings within the game only! This post created by a Japanese blogger sparked this idea so check his original post for other siblings (mainly sisters).

#5 - Tokugawa Sisters (Yoshinobu and Yoshimune)

Starting off the list are the Tokugawa Sisters. They are only related in the game because of the historical figures in real life.

The really funny part in this is that Yoshinobu (1837-1913) in real life was born AFTER Yoshimune (1684-1751). However in the game, Yoshimune looks like the younger of the two.

#4 - Akagi Rena (Red Monstriker) and Akagi Rin (Aqua Monstriker)

The number 4 spot are the Akagi sisters. It seems that Rin (the younger sister) took the same route as her older sister in joining the school's band. Also Rin plays the keyboard which the other monsters of the same series do not play. Blue plays base (could be acoustic), Green plays drums, Yellow plays electric and Purple plays the recorder.

However, once Rin evolves to her 6* form, she becomes the vocals, taking her sister's place. I guess she has her own band with her as vocals. That means more monsters!?

#3 - Origa and Oruga

Probably the most known siblings that players know. For me, they are probably the most beautiful siblings in the game which earns them the #3 spot. Usually one is the pretty one and one is the cute one (you can say Oruga is cute but...). However both are ice cold hot in their own right!

#2 - Daikoku

#2 is the newest NA Impossible, Daikoku. Double nulls, powerful bump combo and very unique (and useful) SS. They get this high of a spot just off of usefulness in the game.

In historical lore, Daikoku should be male and there is a female version called Daikokutennyo but in Monster Strike, they just lump the two together. Although it might not be historically accurate (heck, what game doesn't do that *looks at all the gender-bending*) they are probably the only twins in the game.

#1 - Queen Butterflight and Marine Monstriker

Didn't see this coming did you? Well neither have I until I read the blog from the Japanese blogger (link above). From the Official 4 Cell Manga by one of the designers of Monster Strike, Ogata Yuichi, it was told that they were both sisters.

I guess they look alike and they are from the same series. I doubt the other monsters from the same series have some relation to each other. Thinking Rad Swagger having Freekfrogg as a pet and making him an android (or animaldroid) is pretty far-fetched.

How Was It?

How was this week's Top 5? Of course there are a lot more siblings in the game like Ricol and Verona or the South Pole Bros

Do you play Monster Strike with your siblings? Maybe next time you should try making a team that revolves your family. Like the older sibling plays the older sisters/brothers and the younger plays the younger ones.
