[JP] New Event - Wandering Desperado!

Well it is time to introduce the new hatcher batch for JP. The theme is Thieves (hatcher monsters) vs. Police (descend monsters)!

Event starts on May 18th JST and ends on May 26th JST!

Lets take a look on the three 5* hatcher monsters and the two 5* descend monsters!

SS: Knock up all contacted enemies (24 turns)
Bump: Homing 18 (2353)
Sub: Homing 8

Thoughts
Well it is kind of a no-brainer as which is better. Even being a Blast type, his stats aren't that much different to a Balance type. HP is relatively low but it is still one of the highest for Blast type monsters. We also see the first SS Reduction+Meteor SS combo in the game.

As for his uses, Marishiten comes into my mind for Impossibles. A faster Meteor SS can do work in Marishiten since you may have to use it in the mini-boss stages and you can charge it up faster right before the boss.

He is a good starter for new players since his Evolve is better than his Ascend and he can take on a very powerful Impossible monster.

Zoro (5* Hatcher - Light)
Evolve (Left)
Class: Paladin
Hit: Bounce
Type: Speed
Ability: Samurai Slayer M
Gauge: Null Gravity Barrier
Max HP: 17055 (+3900)
Max ATK: 16511 (+2400)
Max SPD: 356.63 (+53.55)
SS: Bash first contacted enemy and knock up (16 turns)
Bump: Spread Destruction EL3 (4499)
Ascend (Right)
Class: Paladin
Hit: Bounce
Type: Speed
Ability: Dark Resist
Gauge: Null Gravity Barrier
Max HP: 18666 (+4200)
Max ATK: 19497 (+2850)
Max SPD: 368.13 (+55.25)
SS: Become a pierce monster (18 turns)
Bump: Homing Destruction 8 (10981)
Sub: Blast

Thoughts
Probably the prize of the hatcher. As for which form is better, Ascend is but it is not as clear-cut as Billy. There are dungeons that Evolve does a better job than Ascend.

With Evolve Zoro's Samurai Slayer M, she is a top tier pick for Dark Muramasa, a Super Extreme dungeon (which I haven't clear yet *sadface*). Also she (yes, Zoro is a female in this game) can be used in Okita Soji to one shot him at the first bar. Even so, the Ascend version can still be viable for Dark Muramasa and one-shoting Okita Soji is not really needed unless you want to max luck him.

Now I like to call Ascend version a better version of Light Murasame. I just made the comparison since they share the same abilities of Dark Resist and NGB. Light Murasame is a DPS monster with her homings and she does have a very good nuke. On the other hand, Zoro's DPS is not that bad especially with her own homings but it is just not as good as Light Murasame's. She just has some supportive aspects in her kit which Murasame doesn't have. First off is her SS. Becoming a pierce monster can help you bump into other allies or get items if you need them. Also her SS can deal a hefty amount of damage, in certain situations more than Murasame. And lets not forget her sub bump of Blast which sent her from average to top tier!

Basically she can do whatever Light Murasame can do but with more stability. This includes Tsukuyomi (Impossible), Light/Dark Muramasa, and even Dark/Light Murasame.

Nezumi Kozo (5* Hatcher - Dark)
Evolve (Left)
Class: Beast
Hit: Bounce
Type: Balance
Ability: Mine Sweeper M / Mech Slayer M
Max HP: 19560 (+3900)
Max ATK: 21747 (+3175)
Max SPD: 293.07 (+44.20)
SS: Shoots spread shots after every enemy bounce (24 turns)
Bump: Acorn Meteor (15360) - 6 shots
Ascend (Right)
Class: Beast
Hit: Bounce
Type: Balance
Ability: Flight / Null Warp
Gauge: Mech Slayer
Max HP: 19761 (+4200)
Max ATK: 18893 (+2750)
Max SPD: 290.20 (+44.20)
SS: Shoots spread shots after every enemy bounce (24 turns)
Bump: Acorn Meteor (15360) - 6 shots
Sub: Ex Laser S

Thoughts
Ascend is better than Evolve. I just want to get that out of the way before we get to the specifics since this monster has a some things that are new to NA-only players.

First off it is the Mine Sweeper M. The difference between Mine Sweeper M and a normal Mine Sweeper is the damage multiplier for each mine you use up. Mine Sweeper gives you x1.5 multiplier, M gives you x2.0 and L gives you x2.5 (Raff will get buffed to Mine Sweeper L).

Next is the Acorn Meteor. Not many people are familiar with the Acorn Meteor itself since they probably don't use monsters that has that (aka Issun). What does this type of meteor do is that it has a low percentage of paralyzing an enemy for 2 turns. If enemies are paralyzed, it will move their attack CDs and if one of them hits 0, then they won't attack and the CD will refresh. It is different than sleep since enemies that are asleep don't have their attack CDs go down.

Well either way, Ascend is better than Evolve due to the Null Warp. Ascend do have abilities that are similar to the Evolve version although it is weaker.

In terms of usefulness in the game, he is average. But he is average for a giant amount of dungeons. A lot of it comes from the bump combo. It is powerful enough to mob clear efficiently and with the extra added stun effect, it can help out your team. I wouldn't go as far as he can be taken to all dungeons that are full of GB or DW and just be a bump combo bot but he will be better than most non-NGB or non-NDW monsters if you need to fill a spot. Impossible-wise, he can be used in Izanagi and Kushinada. His meteor can help clear mobs in that dungeon which is pretty crucial in clearing those dungeons.

Wyatt Erap (5* Descend - Fire)
Evolve
Class: Demihume
Hit: Bounce
Type: Speed
Ability: Demihume M
Max HP: 17344 (+3900)
Max ATK: 15378 (+5250)
Max SPD: 330.27 (+116.45)
SS: Bash first contacted enemy and spread shot (16 turns)
Bump: Homing 18 (3294)
Ascend
Class: Demihume
Hit: Bounce
Type: Blast
Ability: Demihume
Max HP: 19344 (+4200)
Max ATK: 19979 (+6825)
Max SPD: 148.03 (+52.70)
SS: Shoots numerous homing shots (21 turns)
Bump: Homing 18 (4612)
Sub: Spread Shot L2

Thoughts
Well they only showed us the Evolve form and I'm not that impressed. She (yes, female again) can be used in Kushinada because of her Demihume Slayer M. She can use her SS twice on the final bar if you set it up correctly and her Homing 18 is effective for mob clear. However, warps are going to screw her over.

Well Ascend version got announced and this is a monster you should really avoid. By all means go for collection sakes but she is one of the skips in terms of viability in dungeons. Evolve is better just because of the larger multiplier in the Slayer.

ZENIGATA (5* Descend - Water)
Evolve
Class: Mech
Hit: Bounce
Type: Balance
Ability: Null Warp
Gauge: Vivolith Slayer
Max HP: 17400 (+3900)
Max ATK:  14319 (+4900)
Max SPD: 226.13 (+79.90)
SS: Speed Up and Power Up (18 turns)
Bump: Lock-on Shockwave Piercer 6 (18562)
Ascend
Class: Mech
Hit: Bounce
Type: Balance
Ability: Null Warp
Max HP: 18857 (+4200)
Max ATK: 21561 (+7375)
Max SPD: 224.37 (+79.90)
SS: Gigantifies the user on enemy contact (26 turns)
Bump: Lock-on Shockwave Piercer 6 (18562)
Sub: Spread Shot L2

Thoughts
A lot better than Wyatt! Well not by a lot but still better. At least he has a null ability. His bump combo can pierce enemies unlike its counterparts. Izanagi is not a bad dungeon for him since his bump combo can do work and there are parts of the last bar in Izanagi where he can deal big damage with his SS. He is also a good farmable for Louis the 13th if you max luck him or have a friend that did.

Now that his Evolve stats are out, I do suggest Evolve to be better than Ascend. He will be better for Louis the 13th as well as Kirara which frankly the only uses for both of his forms. There are a lot of Vivolith class mobs in that dungeon so they add-on is really good. Too bad it was not on his regular ability so that his bump combo will get the damage multiplier as well.

Final Thoughts
Well to the hardcore or to the people with a solid box, this is an event that you will skip. To the people who want to start and couldn't find luck rerolling in the Heroes Series or even the Evagelion Collaboration, this is not a bad hatcher to start off with. Billy and Zoro are both good for beginners and they don't require ascend materials (Zoro is better Ascended but she is just fine Evolved for beginners).
