The Improvements
Of course the major improvement to Susano'o is the change from One-way Laser to Lock-on Laser. In his Ascended form, the Bump had terrible synergy with his Strike Shot (which didn't changed). Now players will don't have to get lucky and end up at the bottom or do a sub optimal shot just to stay at the bottom of the boss.

The Sub Bump combo of Slice n' Dice is a pretty good improvement. It makes him a good choice in clearing scorpions.

The Pros
The main pro for Susano'o is the sheer damage he brings to your team. Mobs will melt in front of his Lock-on Laser. He is the perfect pick for non-Wood dungeons that are mainly filled with Damage Walls, or even without them. You can position him with Gravity Barriers and he can deal just as much, if not more, than other NGB monsters.

From a stat perspective, he continues to top the SPD charts. He is #5 among all the monsters in the game (including JP monsters) and he is the only Bounce monster to be in the Top 10. It works super well with his SS since you continue to deal more damage the more times he hits an enemy.

The Cons
Well the bane of all Lock-on Lasers are Laser Barriers. If a dungeon is filled with them, then he is completely useless. Also his Lock-on can hit unfavorable targets like Shields and Drones so positioning might be required to use him to his full potential.

Also the lack of an extra ability keeps him from being OP. Although you can use him in GB dungeons, he can't fend himself against Mines and you have to rely on chance against Warps.

Ableberries
Without a doubt, Sidekick is the one you want on Susano'o. You can increase his Laser to 30,000+.

The second Ableberry can be a choice of Knockout or Kinspeed. Knockout works well with his high speed in having a chance of stunning enemies. Kinspeed increases the damage output with his Strike Shot.

Dungeons
Susano'o works in almost any Fire dungeon in the game. He has been brought to almost every Fire Impossible/Bakuzetsu dungeon including Izanami and Avalon.

For Extreme dungeons, he is a top pick in Astaroth, Vendetta and Wyatt Earp.

Now that the Tower of Champions is in NA, he plays a crucial role in the difficulty for the upper floors. He makes Floors 21 and 26 go more smoothly as well as being a pick in 36F to make it moderately difficult.

Summary
Storm Aragami Susano'o is one of the highly praised Water monsters in the game. Due to the improvements to his bump combo, he becomes an damage source for any team. Couple with a Sidekick Ableberry, he might even out-power some monsters on non-Fire dungeons.

The only bad thing about him, which is not really that bad, is the lack of an extra ability. But that just puts him in the top 3 instead of top 1 among Water monsters.

Spiritual Hunter King

The Improvements
The main problem with Asc Hunter King was his HP, especially if you want a few against Yamato Takeru and his unavoidable Meteor or 22F and the powerful Homing. Although it is only a 2000 HP boost, your team HP will most likely not go under 80,000.

Another improvement is the change to Poison Spread 18 which can help in clearing scorpions

The Pros
Hunter King's main pro really never changed from his Ascended form. He has a powerful One-way Laser XL which can deal a lot of damage to enemies above him.

Due to the Gears for Transecended forms, you can use his SS 1 round faster if you have the right position at a boss. The damage won't be different if you get a tight spot in front of a weak spot.

The Cons
Although it is his greatest strength, it is also his greatest weakness. The One-way Laser is not a favored bump combo anymore, even though it deals a lot of damage. It requires more effort to position for him while there are other monsters that can still do a comparable amount of damage with less positioning (Apollo X).

Ableberries
Just like Susano'o, Hunter King benefits a lot from Sidekick. You can power his laser to 40,000+.

The second slot can be any stat Ableberry. Kinvigor helps you in critical Water dungeons like Yamato Takeru. Kinstrength and Kinspeed works well with his Strike Shot.

Dungeons
His pool of viable dungeons didn't really changed from his Ascended form. He is a good pick for Yamato Takeru and some even use him in Yamato Takeru Zero if you position him correctly.

Gordi and Bardi is a recent JP Extreme that Hunter King is really good. His old pool of Tiger, Okita Soji, and Fox Metal didn't change.

For Tower Floors, he is your main picks in 22F and 38F. With his Poison Spread 18 added to his Sub Bump, he is viable for 25F.

Summary
Spiritual Hunter King did get improvements but they were very minor. However, he was a monster that didn't really need any. His Ascended form was one of the top NGB monsters in the game that can output consistent damage and have a powerful SS.

Although he won't be a monster for players who want to farm, he is a top pick for a lot of dungeons that you only need to (or want to) clear once.
