[Top 5 Wednesday] #12 - Imagining Game Hazards!

It is another Wednesday which means another Top 5!

This week I'll give you some of my ideas for potential hazards the developers can create to make a cooler dungeon!

#5 - Sped Up Gauge

First one on the list is a dungeon-wide hazard. The whole dungeon will speeds up Gauges by a certain amount to test the skills of players or to deter them away from monsters with Gauge shots. It will also make use of the 100% Gauge Shot item that you can exchange for medals in JP

#4 - Reflectors

We had laser barriers that can block laser attacks. What about something that can reflect any Bump Combo? It will be used to block bump combo damage to Bosses or important mobs and you will have to rely on normal bounces or swipes. Players might even use them to reflect Bump Combos to other enemies!

#3 - Bond Chains

This is a specific attack from an enemy. Two of your allies will be linked together. After one full round, the chain will explode. Damage is dealt depending on how far the two allies linked are from each other. Depending on the dungeon, you can make it that allies further apart will take more damage or vice versa. It will test player's knowledge of each monster's speed and positioning!

#2 - Conductors

These are Shield or Drone type mobs. They are on the map and will take in any and all damage from you, whether it be Bump Combo damage or normal attacks. After a certain amount of times, the Conductor will unleash the damage back towards you. The more they take, the more damage your whole team will take in. To make it more fun, you can overload the Conductor and make it explode. Players will have to decide on the fly to whether to overload it or not depending on how much HP they have left.

#1 - Cages

These are like the Blocks that go up and down. Cages will pop up and down at certain places for a few turns. Monsters that are within the cage cannot move out (they can still move) and monsters outside will just bounce off of it. You can put a Boss or mob inside that cage and players will have to decide whether they want to have a monster in there for an old-fashioned CAGE MATCH!

How Was It?

Were these ideas cool? Do you have better ones? Comment below!

I should do cool Bumps or SS for sometime in the near future
